51ST VIRTUAL FIGHTER WING

Ready to take on the next challenge?

Welcome to the 51st Virtual Fighter Wing. Our history dates back over 20 years to Falcon 4.0 and the Jane’s series. Our current simulator of choice is DCS World. The 51st VFW is made up of real life pilots, both civilian and military aviation, as well as hobbyists who have come together to experience a military-like simulation community. We do our best to make our events as realistic as possible while maintaining a fun and relaxed atmosphere for all.

We currently operate the following modules: F16C, F/A18C, F14B, A10C II, AV8B, AH64D, LotAtc, and a variety of support helos including the UH1, and UH60 mod. We will also be integrating the F15E as well as the Kiowa as soon as Razbam and Polychop release them for early access.

As a member of the 51st VFW you will be welcome to fly any of the above modules during our operations. You do not have to be exclusive to any one single airframe, but we do ask each member to specialize in a primary module so that we can sort you into the appropriate sub-squadron within the wing. We are a North American based group that operates in the evening hours of the PST, MST, CST, and EST time zones, however we welcome applicants from all over the world as long as they can adapt to our schedule.

Our main wing events are usually on Saturday Evenings starting at 7:00 pm PST. We also have DACT drop-ins every other Sunday evening, CAS/JTAC drop-ins, mini-missions and joint-training opportunities throughout the week, as well as Liberation events hosted by our ally group the ATWG.

Dedicated Server

We offer two dedicated servers for our members. Our primary server is a Fox3 80-person server with server-side TACVIEW, track recording, and LotAtc compatibility. Our missions feature MOOSE scripting for enhanced naval ops, Skynet IADS and realistic SAM/AAA placements, and interactive weapons ranges. We also have a privately-owned backup server that we run in parallel during the busy weeknights so that instructor pilots can perform IQTs with cadets while our squadrons practice join-training exercises.
